Dear Les, Just noticed your comment on the Tritton website. Not sure where you fit in but it's all an interesting story. My wife has an interest in your area as she is a Pendergast descendant and they are prolific down there. I know Jindabyne well as I was a skier for many years; too old now.
                                      Regards
                                      Terry Hicks

Hi not sure if this is the right place to put this, i have been waiting for so long for this site to come back.
My grandad is Leslie William Tritton.
I have looked at the site and am so excited about it, i do have a little information about my grandad if you wanted to add this to the site and a small correction as well.
Thankyou again for putting this back on

saw your Tritton Generation Site on the Web and was very interested to note that I was included,as I am the son of Lionel Charles Edwin Frappell(died 4th May 2000 aged 84yrs)and Beryl Olive Frappell ((nee Sheldon)died 15th July 2010 aged 98 yrs).Beryl is the daughter of Gertrude Emma Elsie Sheldon (nee TRITTON) b.5th August 1890,Great North Road , Fivedock, New South Wales, Australia.and died 30th December 1984 at Pittwood Nursing Home ,Ashfield,NSW.and Frederick Sheldon b.30th November 1888,Botany Road,Botany,NSW .d.2nd November at Eversleigh Home Of Peace ,Petersham NSW

My Mum and Dad both had their funeral services at St Thomas's Anglican Church ,Enfield, where a number of Tritton grave sites are located.

My wife Helene has been interested in family history since the 1970's and was exited when she read your Tritton Connection as she only had information up to John Tritton(1790).

We both thouroughly enjoyed reading your (and our) most interesting history and we sincerely thank you for this .If there is any way that we may be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
We live in Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains which is located 7 kilometers from Berridale where Edward Austin Tritton was the Publican(as per Tritton history ),,,,,,,

I am researching and writing the life of Adam Maxwell (1793-1838)who married my gg aunt Harriet Vandenbergh in London in 1827. Adam was the son of John Maxwell and sister of Frances ( born 19 April, 1803 at Aleabad and died in London in 1874). Frances married Lieut. John Tritton in Cawnpore on 1 November, 1821 and Adam was one of witnesses. Zoe Yalland in her books, "Traders and Nabobs" and "Boxwallahs" writes about the Maxwell family who laid the foundations of modern, industrial Cawnpore, and has a photo of Frances Titton and copies of her letters. I have discovered much more about Adam, Frances and John Tritton (John's full dress uniform is in national Army Museum). A brief account of Adam's life is to be published in FIBIS journal but I could write up the story of Frances Tritton for your website.
