Hi not sure if this is the right place to put this, i have been waiting for so long for this site to come back.
My grandad is Leslie William Tritton.
I have looked at the site and am so excited about it, i do have a little information about my grandad if you wanted to add this to the site and a small correction as well.
Thankyou again for putting this back on

I am researching and writing the life of Adam Maxwell (1793-1838)who married my gg aunt Harriet Vandenbergh in London in 1827. Adam was the son of John Maxwell and sister of Frances ( born 19 April, 1803 at Aleabad and died in London in 1874). Frances married Lieut. John Tritton in Cawnpore on 1 November, 1821 and Adam was one of witnesses. Zoe Yalland in her books, "Traders and Nabobs" and "Boxwallahs" writes about the Maxwell family who laid the foundations of modern, industrial Cawnpore, and has a photo of Frances Titton and copies of her letters. I have discovered much more about Adam, Frances and John Tritton (John's full dress uniform is in national Army Museum). A brief account of Adam's life is to be published in FIBIS journal but I could write up the story of Frances Tritton for your website.
